Our First House

Feb. 12, 2013

We are moving back to MN which means this will no longer be our first house. God is clearly showing us that He wants us in MN where Will will be the Youth Pastor at Parkside Church in Waconia, MN. God has worked out all of the detail so far, including selling our house. It was only on the market for two weeks which is still super crazy to me but that is how our God works. He is miraculous!

June 2012

Updated pictures of our house is finally here. We got a lot accomplished while my family was here. The following pictures are only pictures of the finished product but if you want to see more I have uploaded them to facebook. Have fun looking at the updates :)

Our dining room that is almost finished. We still have to put up our curtains and we also want to invest in a dining room table where we can seat more than three people :) One of the last things we want to do in here is put either vinyl or hardwood flooring down.

Our ORANGE kitchen!

I was really worried about painting our kitchen orange but now that it is down I am so glad that we did.

Our living room! Notice the non-pink carpet :) Thank you dad!
Another view of our living room!

Our upstairs guest bathroom was one of the hardest rooms to do. This bathroom had a border at the very top and I think we tried everything in the book to try and get that thing off. Love the end result tho!
Our bears in the guest bathroom.

There was no updates to the guest bedroom except for the curtains.

Our downstairs bathroom which matches our  kitchen just down the hall.

Our bathroom got all new hardware (goodbye gold) and was painted green. I love it!

Our bedroom was the first room that we did. All we did was add an accent wall of this blue but I think it changed the room completely.

This is our front door. It was a dark green that had a lot of chipped paint. My grandma took on this huge project and the plan was to strip the paint and stain it. Well when she went to strip the paint there were several layers on it, so she suggested we paint it again. I loved the distress look that it had so we decided to keep it just like it was :)

Here is a closer view of the door.

My parents, brother, and Grandma are going to be here for a week starting tomorrow. They are going to be helping us with many different things around the house so I thought it would be kind of fun to show you the progress along the way. I will keep you guys updated on the main part of my blog but for now, I have posted some pictures of our house with everything set up inside. There are a lot of them but please Enjoy!!!

This is our entry way. That door that you see in the picture leads into the garage.
This is our living room which is right off of our entry way. Please notice the lovely pink carpet because in about a week it will be gone :)

This is the view of our living room from our dining room.

As many of you know, Will and I are buying a townhouse here in Evanston, WY. Our loan is being processed right now so we are waiting to move in but many of you have been asking what it looks like. So, here are a couple of pictures. I will update the pictures when we move in!
This is the front of our townhouse. Not the best picture but gives you an idea!

This is our living room that runs right into our dinning room. Our first project will be to get rid of that pink carpet!  Luckily I  know a guy who lays carpet!

  1. Will and Kayla, the house looks great. I am so excited for the two of you and all that God has planned in your ministry. May God continue to bless the two of you.
